Plentycast #9

aka The ATP-cast.

A day earlier than usual due to another weekend of weather-related football inactivity and featuring special guest (and occasional contributor to the blog of old) John Mackie. Both myself and John were down at the Godspeed You! Black Emperor curated ATP in Minehead last weekend and I thought it would be good to sit down and have a chat about the weekend as a whole and play a few songs by some of the main protagonists. The ATP chat is bookended by a new track from Laeto (and a warm welcome back to them) and last year's Withered Hand Christmas song. This is the last podcast of the year so even though Christmas doesn't mean a whole lot to me Dan has produced a quite lovely song.

Click on Jocky to take you there. Bear in mind it is nearly 2 hours long as well!

See you in 2011!

Aye. I rather enjoyed that engaging tiptoe through the tulips. Laeto haven't lost it and it was also quite satisfying to hear the oldest of old school in the form of Bikini Kill. It all happened so long ago. I need a) a thesaurus b) a brain transplant and c) some 'uppers'. Aye...

Weird Al, it's not country of origin or sense of humour, the thing we're missing is age. My eldest went through a short phase of liking him, suppose fair play to him putting on a show but why have him there.

As for Wolves in the Throne room, I thought one of the kids had clicked one of Iain's angry facebook music links.

ATP is one of the only "festival" type things I've genuinely wanted to go to but this time I'm kicking myself, serious quality in the line up.
